The Rolex Middle Sea Race 2019

The Rolex Middle Sea Race is a 600+ miles classic regatta starting in Malta, traditionally in October. First sailed in 1958, the anti-clockwise rounding of Sicily has quickly become one of the most prestigious yacht races in Europe and attracts hundreds of entrants from all over the World. The Strait of Messina, Stromboli volcano at night and starting gun fire from Saluting Battery in Valletta make it exceptional and exciting.

We are pleased to confirm, that our Volvo Ocean 65 yacht “Sailing Poland” (ex-Mapfre, overall 2nd in Volvo Ocean Race 2018) will be among the fleet of nearly 100 boats participating. We invite you to take place in this outstanding event onboard our yacht!

Rolex Middle Sea Race – drugi najpoważniejszy (zaraz po Rolex Fastnet Race) europejski offshore startuje z Malty w tym roku już po raz 40! Tradycyjny wystrzał armaty z murów zamku w Velettcie, będący sygnałem startu regat rozlegnie się w tym roku 19 października. Przez Cieśninę Messyńską, mijając czynny wulkan Stromboli, flota najlepszych jachtów z całego Świata okrąży Sycylię by po 3-4 dniach powrócić do Valetty. W 2018 roku w Middle Sea Race startowały jachty 30 bander, od Południowej Afryki po Nową Zelandię. Wśród nich – kilka polskich jednostek.
